PURPOSE:

To provide assistance to a graduating senior of the Gettysburg, Upper Adams, or Fairfield High Schools who will continue their education in an eighteen month or two-year program of higher education majoring in a vocational subject area.

AWARD:

A $1,000.00 grant awarded to the successful student with the payment made directly to the eligible institution of his or her choice.

ELIGIBILITY:

Students must meet the following requirements:

1. Be a graduating senior at Gettysburg, Upper Adams, or Fairfield High School.
   
2. Be a high school student who has taken vocationally oriented subjects in high school, completed a minimum of two such subjects during their senior year and have filed a career objective with the high school guidance office. 
   
3. Achieve a B average on vocational subjects and a grade of C or better on all subjects during the senior year.
   
4. Be committed to attending a post secondary program in a vocational area.
   

DEADLINE

Applications are to be received by the guidance office of the high school by

Friday, April 3^rd, 2009. 

Interviews will be held in late April with the award being given at an awards assembly or at graduation.
