2009 Scholarship Winners

ROTARY CLUB OF GETTYSBURG
ANNUAL ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP

PURPOSE: To provide assistance to a graduating senior living in the Gettysburg, Upper Adams, or Fairfield High School Districts who will continue their education in a four year institution of higher education majoring in a business or professional field.

AWARD: A $1,000.00 grant awarded to the successful student with the payment made
directly to the institution of his or her choice.

THE ROTARY CLUB PLANS TO
AWARD THREE ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS IN 2009

ELIGIBILITY
:
Students must meet the following requirements:

1. Be a graduating senior living in the Gettysburg, Upper Adams, or Fairfield High School District.

2. Be a high school student who has taken academically oriented subjects in high school.

3. Achieve a B average on his or her high school work to date.

4. Be accepted at a four-year college or university majoring in a business or professional field.

PROCEDURE
Students interested in the award must complete an application that is available from the guidance office or from the Rotary Club. Upon completion, the application should be returned to the high school guidance office and forwarded to the Rotary Club. Applicants must present to interview with the Rotary club if selected.

DEADLINE
Applications are to be received by the guidance office of the high school or by the Rotary Club by

Friday, April 3rd, 2009

Interviews will be held in late April with the award
